I wish I had some fun update to write about, but, unfortunately, as I've heard from numerous people on their house projects, we've had a few hiccups/setbacks. Electric lines have been run about a half mile to the top of the hill, rough plumbing in the slab completed, concrete slab poured (more about that in a bit), porch slabs poured, house delivered (huge metal beams and all the steel siding/roof), and the two sides of the beams erected so far. Phew!

The slab didn't turn out well, unfortunately. Not sure if it was a combination of several factors, but anyhow, we have to have it torn out and repoured next week. The company brought in a concrete grinding company to try to save the slab, to no avail. 

We should see a whole lot of visual progress over the next 2-3 weeks, as the entire structure, porches, slab is redone, which is all scheduled to happen beginning Friday (fingers crossed everything goes smoothly & quickly) :/

On a bright note, we are hoping to be in around October, so quicker than our original timeframe! 

In between all of the house stuff, the kiddos are on Summer break, the boys' have a busy ball schedule, the store is open Tuesday-Saturday, hubby is at a super busy time on the farm, and selling two houses... And, we wouldn't trade it for anything ;) I'll update hopefully in 3 weeks with LOTS of pics :) Have a blessed June- Rachel
